Lord Mayor’s Community and Voluntary Awards

The Lord Mayor’s Community and Voluntary Awards are held annually. The purpose of the scheme is to acknowledge groups which, through their commitment to voluntary and community activities, have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of life of their communities.

These groups continue to work in a hugely diverse range of areas; from caring for the elderly to arranging cultural events; organising youth groups to supporting residents associations and a host of other community activities. The awards recognise the contribution of these groups to the social and cultural life of Cork City.

The Award scheme, which is sponsored by The Evening Echo, has a prize fund, and is open to all groups in Cork City. Anyone living in Cork City is eligible to nominate a group or the group may nominate itself.

The 2017 Awards will be held in City Hall Cork on May 31st, 2017.

Click here for the Nomination Form 2017 which should be returned by 28 March.
