ACA Grant Scheme 2011: Blackpool ACA

Applications are invited for the Blackpool Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) Grants Scheme for the year 2011. See Press Notice
The City Council has allocated €40,000 to a pilot grants scheme to assist the owners of historic buildings in the Blackpool ACA to undertake works necessary to secure their conservation. The Blackpool ACA includes Gerald Griffin Street, Great William O'Brien Street, Thomas Davis Street and related streets.  The scheme is not intended to assist in carrying out routine maintenance, alterations or improvements. The scheme does not apply to works begun before the commencement of the scheme. The scheme is aimed at funding the cost of works such as sash window repairs, rainwater goods repairs, and roof/chimney repairs. Grant applications will be assessed according to the scheme of priorities and awarded to a maximum of 50% of the cost of eligible works. Works must be completed by end October 2011 at the latest.
